  • Announcing Pomona, a play by Alistair McDowell

Pomona will run for 4 performances, March 27-30 2025 at the MuCCC.

An urban horror masterpiece, Pomona is a puzzle box featuring timely themes and an edge of your seat experience.

The play centers on Ollie who is searching for her missing sister.. In desperation, she finds all roads lead to Pomona, an abandoned concrete island at the heart of the city. Something bad is happening there. Is it all just a game, or does she dare look beneath the surface?

Pomona was first performed at The Gate Theatre in London, then went on to the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond, South West London, in November 2014. It was a critical success. The production then transferred to the National Theatre and the Royal Exchange Theatre in Autumn 2015. It has since been performed all over the world.

  • Night of the Living Dead Live has wrapped.

A huge thank you to our cast, crew, and audiences that made this show such an incredible success. We were deeply moved by the hugely positive response on social media this show received, and the amount of laughter and smiles that filled the theatre every night. We were also touched by Dale Boyer and Trevor Martin, two of the playwrights and original cast members of Night of the Living Dead Live, who traveled down from Toronto to see the show. Thank you Dale and Trevor so much for your kind words and sharing your stories about George Romero! Crow City Theatre will be taking a well needed break, but is already planning to return next year. Stay tuned!!!

  • They are coming to get you Rochester!

Crow City Theatre announces George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead Live for 2024!

Six strangers in a lonely farmhouse, surrounded by brain-eating zombies – what could go wrong?

Night of the Living Dead™ Live is a fun and hilarious re-imagining of George A. Romero’s legendary 1968 classic. The play lovingly examines the movie itself, the period in which it was made, and the film’s undying influence on the horror genre.

More than just a recreation of the story, the play celebrates the history and influence of the movie. Through a series of multiple endings, the characters are all faced with different issues and challenges while desperately trying to survive the night. However, their contrasting personalities and agendas always seem to prevent the group from working together. Which leaves us all wondering: Could anyone survive a night of the living dead?

  • A howling success!
